Things Around XII

(Left) Farm houses at the bottom of Namsan, favorite Mountain Day hike location. (Middle) A view from the top, looking back down into the valley from where we came (and where the car is parked). (Right) A second view from the other side of the Namsan looking out into the other valley. Somewhere down there is a KTX station nestled between two hills.

(Left) A close up of the little stacks of rocks left on the centerpiece (hero image, top) of this rest area on the hiking trail. This house on the bottom of the downside has a wall in front of it (right), but the wall only extends to the point where the road turns into a small bridge to traverse a creek.

(Left and right) Some fruit is being grown on these small trees. The orchard seems to be maintained by the small restaurant next to it. I took some murky photographs of this last year as well.

(Left) A main gate leads up from the parking lot on the side of the mountain where the hike began. Probably there is another trail up this way, and very likely that trails leads to one of the hundreds of Buddha or Buddhist statues which cover Namsan. (Right and below) Views of the surrounding farmscapes from the parking lot.
