Snuggle Bitches

The coldness makes me sleep longer, be more tired, and pull up from the blankets a lot slower than ever before. The coldness makes normally active and aloof dogs into perpetual snuggle bitches that vy for more love, pets, attention, and lap snuggles than even the laziest and most codependent cat.

Naughty can’t even function in cold weather, but if he sees me with a laptop, he rubberbands out of his glum stupor to bark incessantly at the thing that has stolen his rightful, nay, kingly place on my lap. Here (above: left, middle, right) he finally gets the ‘all clear’ sign, but is too jilted from watching me “pet” a computer for hours that he insists he be lifted up. Once there he tries to kiss me (Meow gets too close and gets it on the lips). And then he finally goes to sleep.

The dogs constantly learn from each other. Since moving to Gyeongju, Twitchy has figured out that the path to ultimate love lay in the lap of the man who ignores them the most sometimes. She will now jump up on me with her front paws to see if I will pet her. Then she desperately, sometimes even wimpingly claws with her hind legs to get up onto my lap. (When she does this, Naughty will bite her tail or legs.)
