Drawings I

Paper is an iPad app that is free. Of all the drawing apps I’ve played with, I think this one has the best response to fingers and renders my lines the cleanest. My only complaints are that it’s not as feature rich as I would like. It is difficult to get a good range of colors for example since the app only gives you 7-8 to work with; the undo feature is limited to the last 2-3 things you did which is annoying because the app is entirely finger driven and sometimes pulling to get to a new page means a nasty smudge or two on a perfected drawing. I’ve already trashed a few drawings this way.

For doodling, I think this is okay for now. In the future an more powerful iPad would be nice as Paper drags a little on the first iPad. Also to do the kind of drawing I want, I need more precision, so some kind of writing tool is now needed.
