Day 678

Sunday | January 5th, 2014

All images form bygone days. I slept until the late, late, late afternoon. Dreaming something after another something.

Oh but when I got up things were all different. I sunk myself into Applescript and the still ongoing problem of wanting to dice and chop the audio files produced by every TOEIC camp. In the days of old, I would listen to each one—sometimes up to 80 a day and provide an evaluation with comments. Now, this burden is on the people who can affect the output of students themselves—the students and their teachers. But dumping a sixteen minute file into anyone’s lap and saying, “Here, study this and get better.” is a waste. Dicing and chopping pares that file down to six minutes and eleven neatly packaged files.

There is a way here, a path. I just need to put in the learning to get there. This was my Sunday evening, my Sunday night, my Sunday wee-hours, and my Monday morning.
