Day 674

Wednesday | January 1st, 2014

There was New year’s Eve merriment this year, again, like last year. Unlike last year, I was able to convince Meow to come out and drink and sing or at least watch the strangers in their mini-known island adrift in the strange land sing Auld Lang Syne. Funny too, how none of us in the room could sing more than the first verse and the chorus save for the Kiwi in the korner who bested all, he is a poet that GL.

Last year, Meow wouldn’t budge and I went out alone. I met friends, but I see the turning of the (solar) year like the St. Nick’s night—both should be spent with loved ones.
