This shot (top) is proof that though I may not have written much over the summer and fall, I still had a camera on me at all times. Imagine that shot as a 17MB .tif. And imagine that that shot is actually a square with more grass and sky at the top and bottom. And imagine that that shot looks fucking righteous on a proper screen in a real portfolio. Now imagine me crying over having to hack this beauty up to fit at the top of this page because I slept and fiddle-faddled away my Saturday.

That’s not entirely true.

I got up around 13.00, which is a right and proper time for me to wake up on a non-working, non-vacuuming, non-appointmenting sort of day. I got my shower thanks to a replacement part for the boiler.

I drank some of my new coffee; I finally picked some up yesterday on the way home. I worked on writing here. I thought about working on work and almost started twice, then checked my phone to see if anyone cool was messaging me only to find students complaining about their grades being A and not A+. Emphasis on the ‘s’ because usually either one student complains or no one complains. Today, I’m blessed with three. Tomorrow, I’m likely to have more because I posted the grades Friday afternoon and got my first complaint Friday night. Surely there’s more bitching to be had over this.
