Day 662

Friday | December 20th, 2013

The last day of the last week of the last semester of the year and I overslept. The boiler wasn’t working either so the plan to quickie wash my hair and face and hands in the bathroom sink almost became wash my face with water from the coffee pot for the coffee I didn’t have time to drink, then the boiler found water and made some of it lukewarm and I was able to enact plan A.

Oh, and it snowed Thursday night sometime too. Shit does really happen in threes. Oversleeping (1), boiler no worky (2), snow (3). I left with damp hair and delicately clobbered on frozen snow to the street where I found not my taxi (that makes 4). I walked and walked and then saw a bunch of haggard and distraught students and figured the not bus was coming. I ducked into GS 25 and spammed 6 of 10 students with something incredibly impersonal along the lines of “Hi! I know we never talk, but today class is going to start at 09.30 because I’m a piece of shit and my boiler’s fucked and there are no taxi’s and oh it snowed so everything’s all broken. Pass it along!” and walked to work for the first time all semester.

I finally got my nice morning shot off of the bridge looking across the not river to the not temple (top). I guess the circle had to complete itself somehow.

There were a lot of naysayers around yesterday and today. Xenophobic types with reservations about a crime fighter and a Jedi swapping spit. I dare say Batman is smiling through that ├╝ber-masculine physique and i-ve-gotta-get-this-bat-dildo-out teeth-gritting thing he has going on … He should be. Luke Skywalker pre-Hoth is a real catch. After the Dagobah System that kid is FUBAR.

The Daily Bullet

Daily Report

I didn’t sleep last night. I struggled to write or create a script that would grab an .mp3 from a folder, open it, insert markers in pre-determined places, split the audio file into eleven segments based on those
