Summer was like this picture (top), a warm tangle of things.

I gave my student 50 images to practice with for their Final Exam. Most of them practiced with a few select images they either liked or guessed that I would use or didn’t practice at all. This student (below) gathered all the images and shrunk them to fit onto two pages. She had notes and subject matter written all over. I’ve never seen anything like this. It’s genius! I get prickly thinking about what this brain will do in the future. The ability to come up with such an approach … wow. Her exam was still so-so though.


The Daily Bullet

On the way to class on Tuesday night, I stuffed my headphones into a coat pocket knowing it was a bad idea. And, of course, they flopped, hopped, or flung themselves out of my pocket when I dashed across the street. I noticed they were gone a few minutes later on the other side of the river, but getting to class and keeping stuck on the schedule is more important than some headphones …

On the way home, I retraced my path with a flashlight and found them in the road. They looked okay. Maybe there was some luck in this … some. Only one side of the housing (left, naturally) was smashed, yet everything still works.
