Day 59

Thursday | April 26th, 2012

Today was so busy that I didn’t have time for much of anything, save for torturing a friend unnecessarily in DrawSomething after pressing ‘LEBRON’ instead of ‘BOTTLE’. I have no idea what ‘LEBRON’ is, but surely I could make a descriptive drawing to decipher what it is … right? Apparently not. A few hours later when I had a moment to look at my phone, just a short message: “are you high?” (Your mileage may vary—see thumbnail.)

I took two pictures, both before an 08.00 meeting, then the whole day slipped away. Before I knew it, I was home, cleaning the flat and preparing for guests. When the ate, chatted us up, and finally left, I sat on the couch with Meow and the dogs to draw some more with the iPad. I had taken it out after dinner so the little one our guests brought could us the Paper app to draw. I experimented more and then decided to buy the remaining drawing tools on the spot (to the tune of $7.99). I think this is worth it as once I got ahold of the pencil tool I was able to make sketches rather than just mess around with a calligraphy pen.

Somewhere in here, messing with this app, I dropped off for a couple of hours. I only had time to sort out an email for a language exchange I have arranged for Mondays, then it was off to bed.

The Daily Bullet

This blasé image was taken just before the meeting began. It looked like crap of course. I used Photoshop’s ‘find edges’ filter with a few tweaks, then colorized the image with a green hue for a Matrixy effect (which I didn’t care for), then inverted the whole thing. That I can live with.

Daily Report

I didn’t sleep last night. I struggled to write or create a script that would grab an .mp3 from a folder, open it, insert markers in pre-determined places, split the audio file into eleven segments based on those
