Day 511

The first day of real vacation. Yes, I have work next Saturday, but today, I have nothing, same with tomorrow, the next day, the day after that, etc. It makes a difference.

I brought in this glorious day by sleeping through most of the day. Classic. I have an alarm called “Don’t Piss Away Vacation Now” set to go off everyday that I don’t have a work obligation. It went off this morning … well I assume it did because I slept until almost 15.00. Meow called me and then I got up with the intention of studying Korean (a thing that’s been on the “to do” whiteboard since last winter), but found it too hot to think, my room too hot to use a computer to do what I’d planned on doing (converting all paper-based flash cards to Study Blue sets that I can study from any computer, phone, or tablet).

I spent time contemplating the other things I fancied doing like picking up the recycling, cleaning my room, getting dressed, going outside, but all of it seemed so worthless as it was hot and sticky and I didn’t fancy another sunburn. Twice is enough for one year.
