Day 404

Saturday | April 6th, 2013

I shoulda been making lesson plans today. Instead I spent the day on the floor of Meow’s office leaning against the couch in front of the tv. Meow spent the day on the couch in front of the tv. And the dogs? They spent the day on the couch laying at Meow’s feet, utterly and ecstatically thrilled that Mommy and Daddy let them inside in the first place.

Meow was hung over from the birthday party and I was more hung over. Whatever had to be done today was promptly shoveled off to tomorrow.

But this was a kind of family day for us and we don’t seem to have many of those. Mostly I hate tv and we don’t let the dogs come in the house proper. Many exceptions were made so we could nurse our heads.

In the late evening FIL called to tell us he had business in a town 30 minutes from Gyeongju and so he was coming to visit. This spurred us in a way to move and stand and put some ideas we’d had throughout the day into motion.

FIL has not been to our house yet and he helped pay for some of it. He doesn’t like dogs much, so there was a lot of de-dogging to do.
