Day 401

You can read it all in their eyes (top). ‘First you abandoned us to go outside with that big black dog and you didn’t even take us. Now … now you sit there and eat right in front of us and you don’t share!’

For me though, sitting in the hallway in front of a screen door eating some food, drinking some Spoffee (spam + coffee = spoffee, a.k.a. mix coffee) and soaking up the warm spring air and the rays that come with it is heaven. It’s also a great opportunity to shoot the usually unwieldy dogs in their resting and contemplating state.

Not really the day off I thought I’d have yesterday when unboxing the bike and the weather apps (all of them) claimed it would be a rainy day. This was the reason for zipping out last night; the new bike lacks fenders and a chain guard.

But the day turned out much different. It was sunny and beautiful (above, middle), yet I was sitting in a classroom trying to steal tricks of the trade from another teacher (above, left). I really wished I could be out and biking. Soon enough all the days will be filled with exactly that.

In the evening I did tear out in the dusk (above, right). I ate a lot of bugs while zipping through the park. One or two went up my nose. Another experience completely forgotten about.
