Day 384

Sunday | March 17th, 2013

On Sunday Meow woke me after her 18 hours of sick-sleep and insisted on bathing the dogs. She wouldn’t eat or drink anything and wanted to jump right in with doing stuff. I got her to wait only by claiming that I needed to drink a cup of instant coffee (crack in a bag) before I could help her. I got her to sit down on the couch while I drank slowly. It was only at this point that she was able to feel how sick she still was and that Sunday was not dog bathing day.

I begged and bargained with her until a deal was struck: she would rest if I procured medicine and food and took care of her. This took me out of the house, down the street to the closed pharmacy, then down another street to the only other one I know of in our neighborhood. It was also closed.

Some pharmacies are open on every Sunday, some pick one, like the 3rd Sunday of the month. It’s times like these that I really miss being able to walk into 7-11 and buy medicine.

I did a big loop of the neighborhood, went past our old flat, and to Big Sale for the food. I took pictures as I did this. Whatever’s been going on lately, having a working and better than the one that wasn’t camera is a bit relaxing.
