Day 337

Tuesday | January 29th, 2013

It’s no secret that I’ve been sleeping my vacation away in chunks. Stay up late, sleep all day. I’ve skipped out on some chilly days this way. I’ve skipped out on some practical daytime living. Fuck, I skipped out on high school this way.

With yesterday’s vet-trauma I stayed up all evening, night, and early morning with Twitchy in my room—playing games! Meow slept in the living room on the couch with Naughty. In the morning, things were much the same and Twitchy was still looking jealously toward the pantry door and still not getting why Naughty was inside and she was outside. I went back to playing Populous: The Beginning until around 16.00 when my brain couldn’t take village quashing anymore and my eyes only say little blue villagers running around every time they were closed.

Inside, Naughty still lay pretty much conked out. His medicine came in pill and powder form. The pills are easy enough for Meow to force down a little pug’s throat but the powder he could smell and wouldn’t take it. During the night, Meow had fed him before his stomach woke up from the knock-out shot and he’d thrown up a lot, too, further making all foods suspect and warranting “deep” smell treatment. We’d taken to conning him with an ice cream mixture of vanilla and powder. It worked the first time, but not the second until I put on a show of eating the yummy-yummy, then he fell for it again. I lay down on the couch for a moment and fell fast asleep next to Naughty and that was the end.
