Day 307

If there is a reward for forcing one’s wife to stay in bed all day while the man takes care of everything and retrieve (or hides) whatever that wife desires, then let it only be that that wife is once again well. I don’t care about anything else.

Give the golden keg to another do-gooder. The ribbons can go back into the hair of little girls. I really, really just want Meow to not be sick for a while.

I’m tired of going out and not going out with Meow (Day 302). I’m tired of talking and making plans to do stuff only to have Meow bail on the day of because she is sick (Day 303).

She was, at least, for this moment, this one day, feeling quite a bit better. We joked around a lot and goofed off together. It was like having an old friend come around, finally. We didn’t go out anywhere (for fear of her getting sick again) and we just stayed in. We played with the dogs a little. Ate some good food. I showed Meow where I’d stashed the peanut butter and Choco Chex the day before and that was that.

Later in the evening I messed with TOEIC files and the day began to suck in earnest. Somewhere in the middle of trying to get .ppt slides to work right and the wind pushing up against the plastic, I remembered what spring in Seoul (hero image, top) was like …
