Day 282

Wednesday | December 5th, 2012

I went to work today to watch a class. I had to turn off my phone while observing because the Voice Control self activated twice. Then because I was watching an exam and the teachers process and not the students who where talking incessantly (as per their exam guidelines, re: talk in English for x number of minutes) I was super bored and turned the phone back on to play Sudoku.

This is the only game I’ve been playing on my phone for the last month. It’s fair to say I’m addicted to the logicness of the game. I’ve plateaued on the easy setting. I would go read the advanced strategy guide with the app, but I’m enjoying my struggles on the easy setting too much (and I want to learn as much as I can on my own).

I came home in the early afternoon—why fart around in a cold office that I don’t have to be in when I can go home and play loud music AND work in a warm room. That didn’t come to pass though, NO came over to pump the gossip juice out of me and to talk about life and shit. I spent some of that time taping off my plastic door with red tape and some more time reorganizing my whiteboard and putting up the new tasks for the coming months.

Meow and I had lunch together (a rarity) and got caught up on X-Factor in the evening. Meow has lost all faith in America because Cece lives and Vino has been voted off.

This is what a crazy person does: stare at the same thing for hours on end convinced of its supreme state of evilness in the universe. This is how Twitchy spends the bulk of her time lately, staring at, whining at, occasionally growling at, sniffing at the hole in the laundry room floor. She is obsessed. Pathologically obsessed. If this hole was a person, then Twitchy would be in jail for stalking it. Once a few weeks ago, I sat with her waiting for Naughty and she stared so deeply at this hole, her heart began to race, her body shook, and she growled at this hole. This is what a crazy dog looks like. … At least she’s not barking anymore.

Daily Report

I didn’t sleep last night. I struggled to write or create a script that would grab an .mp3 from a folder, open it, insert markers in pre-determined places, split the audio file into eleven segments based on those
