Day 266

Things are fastly building to busier than busy even though it will all be over in less than a week. Eclipsing the house warming was a massive hurdle towards things being normal, us being settled, and the remaining days (really counting days now) to wind down the semester.

Today I devoted myself to crossing as many things off my long list of chores I’d piled (both inadvertently and blatantly) into a time concept called ‘Week 12’. The goal for today was to get everything or nearly everything done so I don’t have to work on my birthday (even though I would call having to run to immigration work, it’s the PDF train wreck stuff that I want to avoid).

And I succeeded at 03.00 on what was technically Day 267. I cut Korean class (throwing Korean homework under the bus last night), and then got lucky and my last free-form class didn’t have any students so I blew out of the PDF just before 16.30. I caught the sun slipping away and even let myself wait for the kid to throw a pitch in the beams. It was a neat and natural effect.
