Day 243

Saturday | October 27th, 2012

Today was the last day of speech mentoring. I only had two students show up last Saturday, but three returned for today’s class. Next week is the competition and I’m really interested to see how my students will make out.

Today was also the first time it’s rained since we moved in. I was treated to watching it come down with my office door open (hero image, top). With the rain it feels like I really live here now. And I see even more things I want to tweak later on.

I tried to rehang the kitchen door before the rain, but still the smell from the yellow spray paint was too much and kind of gassed us out. Meow says she’ll repaint it again with non-stinky yellow paint. Spray paint fail, I guess.

The Daily Bullet

This game is eating up my seconds here and there. It’s called Letterpress and it exposes two problems with iOS:

  • there is no way to interact with the people you are playing; I don’t want chat features, but I might like to do something with my games after I’ve won or lost them other than just watching them disappear forever

Other than these things, the game is very well designed and supports color themes (naturally, I like the pink one).

Daily Report
