Day 241

Thursday | October 25th, 2012

Meow and I did a lot of strategizing today trying to figure out how our schedules would overlap and what to do with the dogs while we were both at work. ADT will come tomorrow to install a security system, but today we needed to protect the dogs and keep them away from any mischievous things like some asshole tossing poisoned meat into our courtyard to kill our dogs.

Meow and I spent time looking at collars that shock dogs when they bark. I thought it might be better and cheaper than having a security system put in, but the prices are the same. After suggesting the collar many times to Meow, looking at them online and seeing how nasty they were, I decided that I wouldn’t be able to put one on Twitchy. This has been exactly Meow’s opinion and was until she saw the collars and read about the experiences of other dog owners on the websites. She had decided that this was a good way to train Twitchy and reduce her barking. We decided to go ahead and get the collar and we would train Twitchy to relax and not bark at every strange thing.
