Day 233

Wednesday | October 17th, 2012

Camera failures suck. I took other pictures today, but they didn’t take or 6×7 crashed immediately afterwards. Sometimes I caught this and tried again, mostly, I thought my shot was in and drop my phone back in my pocket without a thought only to find the ugly surprise later. The hero image above is the only thing this day let me take away and save for later.

As a day off, today wasn’t really off. I have two students who for whatever cockamamie reason keep showing up late. I talked to them about this and they said their previous professor often runs his class overtime and won’t let the students go. Or, rather, the students are too respectful to leave or stop the ramble. If this is true (and I can’t think of a reason why they’d bother to make up a retarded story like this one), then all I can think is: what an asshole.

These kids missed two quizzes and host of other stuff, and the only day they could make room in their schedules was on my day off. That’s where my day went. Some late sleeping. Some fiddle-faddle. Then a walk home in the dusk. There was some cool lights and traffic in this scape, but trying to capture it was the aforementioned disaster.
