Day 213

Thursday | September 27th, 2012

Like yesterday being so long and free and busy with house funness, today was long. Unlike yesterday, it was not very fun and not once did I think it was Saturday.

The thing I nearly forgot yesterday was the 07.55 meeting I had to wake up and drag myself to. Thank the new bag for that stack of treats. I went to bed late, woke up early and walked to work in the crack of the morning. I saw a lot of things I’d rather not see, like all the other people who live around me. I like the solitude that comes with strolling to work in the afternoons. The morning cracks don’t make me feel any better about myself or the next chain of events. Ever.

After the meeting I walked back home. Another weird moment. At least this walking to and from work runs me past the good bakery. I grabbed donuts, bagels, and pastries for Meow who I figured would be up by now and headed off to her day of work.

At home, my house (still feels odd to say that), I started chipping away at Boardwalk Empire before falling asleep. Dammed morning meetings. I probably coulda slept in my chair all damn day, but I had to wake myself and find a teacherly outfit to don before making my way back to the campus for my classes. I missed my office hour because I was asleep in my chair, at my house, with the doors to my room open to the sunny day. It was a very peaceful scene, waking up in that.
