Day 158

Friday | August 3rd, 2012

I was up around 09.30 this morning to drape clothing and follow Meow to our house. Sleep still clung to my eyelids and I sweat buckets in dressing, walking, sitting, staring, listening, and waiting. Whatever bug it is that I’ve welcomed into my system, it’s nasty.

The realtor’s interior guy looked everything over and asked lots of questions. Most notably he stated that the toilet pipe in the bathroom is far too small for a toilet and if they did hook things up that way, then the junction point (a false brick above) which is in the courtyard right in front of the main door would stink the place up.

I never got into the girth of the bathroom pipe probably because I didn’t want to hear another ‘oh that’s Korea’ type comment, much like the one I got the day before from Meow when asking too many questions about what happens when crap passes through the (same) junction point. It was refreshing to have a smart person around that wasn’t afraid to address the white elephant.

He pulled the layers of Styrofoam which block up the bedroom window to see the space (above). He also walked the rooms with Meow while she went through things on our list.

I mostly just sat there on the stoop of my future office (hero image) taking a few pictures, wondering when I was gonna feel better, and if it was really necessary for sick me to climb out of bed. Meow and I talked a little bit about a few things in-between her talking with everyone else. It turns out that one of the things I planned to do in the pantry (which Meow decided it would be better to have the interior people do) is an old style Korea thing.

Again, once I got home, I crawled into bed. I think the heat and an overindulgence in certain foods which weaken my immune system (sugar, ice cream, cow’s milk, beef, cheese) and a lack of sleep (too hot) took me down enough notches to become inconvenienced for the remainder of vacation (camp starts back up on Monday).

The Double Daily Bullet

Going into the property and coming back out (through the gate).

Daily Report

I didn’t sleep last night. I struggled to write or create a script that would grab an .mp3 from a folder, open it, insert markers in pre-determined places, split the audio file into eleven segments based on those
