Day 152

Saturday | July 28th, 2012

The first whole day of vacation with Meow. She was up early doing Meow things (tv? play with dogs? no idea really); I slept until two something. No where to be, no destination, no schedule, no alarm. I could sleep forever … but this time is for Meow because she’s always working. We haven’t had time off together since we first moved to Gyeongju and won’t again until after the new year.

We spent our first day getting caught up on some vital tv shows (True Blood and Falling Skies). We had talked the night before about going hunting for saddles (no more oven feet) and wax, but it didn’t come off. Staying home in front of fans watching shows seemed the more attractive thing to do.

But in a sense we are in idle mode waiting for Wednesday to come. Wednesday we get our house. Wednesday is Meow’s birthday. We will leave the bank and get a cake. We will come home and collect the dogs. We will take the cake, the dogs, our cameras, our pens, and lots of paper to our house and sit there for the rest of the day, planning and celebrating.

We just have to crawl through Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday to get there. It seems like forever.

This Old Hanok

When we had the bathroom done, we wanted to design our own window for the part of the wall which straddles the storage space along the side of the house. This way we could have clean airflow through
