Day 141

Alarm wakey day was alarm rain stoppy day. I was in the air on a gunship, hanging out of the side but the effect was like being in space with a suit on, all slow and weightless and soundless. Then Lion was blaring the theme song to Transformers (the cartoon with Orson Wells, not that Shia LaBeouf Sheila Baywolf crap). And then it was all gone. Whatever that gunship was all about, wherever we were headed (Safeway?) disappeared.

I stayed in bed for another 30 minutes or so. Just thinking. Got the wind on my mind among other things. Checked email—nice to have a smartphone pocket computer (just what every 80s kid dreamed of). Saw that I got paid money for not doing anything and resolved to make something of myself for the day. At the very least I would need to shower, dress, and walk to the bank to wire the free money into our house account for Meow to chew up and work her magic on.

Meow was home when I stepped out of the shower and we decided to go together having similar errands in the same part of this tiny town. My money disappeared quickly into various accounts and my pocket. Meow’s task was more complex: break out our savings and funnel the money into a holding account. This required me waiting, inside (at Meow’s request) and the result is a boring hero image. (At least outside there would be people watching.)

We ate an early budae jjigae supper together, went to the stationary store, went to Daiso, talked about the wind, the dogs, the dogs in the wind, and other stuff. We also went to a stamp maker (above and below). Meow is in a position where she must have a registered stamp (for first time in her life—yes, getting a stamp is a wind-related event). We found the stamp maker after we stopped in at a too easy to find pet supply shop to order a giant bag of dog food for Twitchy and Naughty who, honestly, have been getting crumbs for the last day or so.

I’ve always wanted a stamp so I got one, too (see post thumbnail image). I’m not sure how I feel about the stylization of my family name and the 키읔 (Korean letter ㅋ or hard ‘k’ sound) looks like an compressed ‘O’. Still, I finally have a stamp and that’s cooler than cool. Tomorrow I’m going to try to have it registered when Meow registers hers.

The Daily Bullet

This dog is too tiny to not be famous. Then again, tiny town = tiny dogs. Perfectly logical.

Daily Report

I didn’t sleep last night. I struggled to write or create a script that would grab an .mp3 from a folder, open it, insert markers in pre-determined places, split the audio file into eleven segments based on those
