Day 124

Saturday | June 30th, 2012

Didn’t do much today. But that’s what Saturdays are for … practicing the fine art of thinking about doing other stuff all day, then feeling good and tired for spending all that energy thinking. When the day ends you feel right and centered and accomplished all because ain’t nothing even closer to being done, but a ton of effort went into it—at least, some energy that was supposed to get on its way to something tangible or maybe more important than watching The Wire all day was wisely spent. And no one can argue otherwise.

Quality days. There aren’t a 124 of them either, just a handful. You can burn a Saturday easy because sitting on the stoop of your mind is the Sunday coming right up and to quote the armchair philosopher extraordinaire (via Arnold Lobel), Toad, “Tomorrow. I will do it tomorrow.”
