What an odd thing it was to find myself again visiting that country house. This time I was with a group of professed vegetarians and we went out to meet MS and see the house before eating at one of Gyeongju’s vegetarian restaurants.

I won’t say that I’m going back to not eating meat, but I do have an increasing number of hangups about certain meats (beef in particular) and have been steering away since the wedding (when my vegan family members appeared for the first time in Korea and I rethought much of what I’d been eating for the last six years).

I completely forgot to take a picture of the food. Maybe because we waited for all the armies of Europe to march by before the first things were put on the table. They didn’t last very long. Neither did my bibimbap. Meow makes it better. The food was good, but Meow makes it better. And she cooks it better without meat or fish for me. (Nobody, however, can beat my beans and rice!)
